About this Course
Publish your GIS data to the web
This course is designed to help Publishers of ArcGIS Online for Organizations optimize their use of the ArcGIS platform by exploring ArcGIS Online as a system to store, share and publish geographic information on the web. Participants will learn best practices for preparing their data using ArcGIS for Desktop, for use with their organization's subscription account. The course will also cover fundamental topics in administering and securing ArcGIS Online.

Goals

  • Store layers, maps and documents on the web
  • Create web services that are ready to be consumed
  • Prepare hosted services to support online editing
  • Create and configure web mapping applications that consume your web maps and services
Prerequisites
Completion of ArcGIS 1: Introduction to GIS or equivalent knowledge would be advantageous.
