About this Course
Build your own routing system
In this course, you will learn how to build and configure ArcGIS network datasets and put them to work solving real-world routing and logistics problems. You'll use the Route, Service Area, Origin-Destination Matrix, Vehicle Routing Problem and Location-Allocation Solvers to plan the fastest routes, define service areas and optimize facility locations. The course also covers multimodal networks and attributes, with an optional look at using ArcGIS Network Analyst through geoprocessing tools and ArcGIS Online.
Goals
After completing this course, you will be able to:
- Understand fundamental concepts of the ArcGIS network dataset
- Create network datasets
- Define network dataset properties such as network multimodality and network attributes
- Solve routing, closest facility and service area problems
- Create origin-destination cost matrices and use the Vehicle Routing Problem and Location-Allocation Solvers
- Review how network analysis is accessed in web environments
