ArcGIS Arcade is a new, powerful and flexible expression language that is used across the ArcGIS system. It is similar to scripting languages such as Python and JavaScript, but is more compact and lightweight. This course covers the fundamentals of writing Arcade code, focusing on the correct syntax and structure needed to write effective expressions efficiently, saving both time and effort.

After completing this course, you will be able to:
  • Understand the fundamental aspects of the Arcade language
  • Use the Arcade Playground to test your expressions
  • Apply the basic concepts of creating expressions
  • Recognize where Arcade expressions can be used
  • Apply the correct syntax and structure in Arcade expressions
